Hello everyone and welcome to our first ever blog post – we’re so excited!

Being in quarantine for the past couple of weeks, I’ve found myself making several Sephora orders because what better timing to try new products, than while being stuck at home. On today’s blog, I’ll be reviewing and commenting on products from my latest order. It’s been a couple of weeks since my package arrived, so I’ve had the opportunity to try each product, since.

Youth To The People Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser (5/5)

If you follow us on Instagram, you’ll know that the YTTP Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser is one of my absolute favorite products. I decided to give this product a shot after hearing people rave about it and honestly it has lived up to all the hype.

I’ve been using this product every morning and night because I love the way it makes my skin feel. Some of the reasons why I recommend this product:

- Does not strip – leaves my skin feeling soft

- Light and refreshing cleanser

- Lathers nicely, even with a bit of product

- Has a nice natural smell

- Available in mini size at Sephora – ideal if you want to give it a shot without committing to a full size bottle

Drunk Elephant Slaai Makeup-Melting Butter Cleanser (5/5)

A few weeks ago I received a mini sample of Drunk Elephant’s Makeup-Melting Butter Cleanser and I immediately fell inlove with it. I am always looking for a cleanser that takes off my makeup, because let’s face it, it’s the most dreadful part of wearing makeup. Once I finished my sample, I knew I had to purchase the full size and I’m so glad I did.

- It properly removes all, if not most, of my makeup

- It leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated

- The full size is well worth your money ($45CAD @Sephora)

- It comes with a convenient scoop so you don’t have to grab it with your fingers

- Has a slight smell – but it is barely noticeable

Josie Maran Argan Daily Moisturizer SPF

SPF has become a staple in my morning skincare routine – I never leave the house without applying it. I came across the Josie Maran Argan Daily Moisturizer SPF 47 and it had mixed reviews, so I was initially skeptical about buying it, however, I’m so glad I did.

- Leaves my skin feeling hydrated and moisturized

- Lightweight and blends smoothly on skin – no white marks

- Amazing smell – does not smell like a typical sunscreen

- Perfect for my combination skin

- Gives a dewy look and feel – even towards the end of the day

- Does not require a lot of product to get full face coverage

Fresh Sugar Strawberry Exfoliating Face Wash (3/5)

I’ve been looking for a good exfoliator and came across the Sugar Strawberry one from Fresh. After reading the reviews it really came down to people either loving or hating it. I decided to purchase it anyway but opted for the mini size, incase I wouldn’t like it.

I’ve only used this product twice since I tend to only exfoliate once a week – typically on Sundays.

- Great strawberry smell – can be overpowering for those who don’t like products with a smell

- Does not really foam

- Makes skin feel bright

- Causes some dryness but nothing drastic

- Feels more like a cleanser than an exfoliator

The following products are all products I purchased from the Ordinary:

I’ve been wanting to try the Ordinary for some time now and decided to purchase three different products.

The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution (2/5)

I wasn’t in need of a new toner, but came across the Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution and noticed that it had relatively good reviews, at such a good price ($8.70 CAD).

I’ve been using this product for a few weeks now and I have to admit that it has been burning my skin. I’ve also noticed that whenever I use it in the PM, I will wake up with some dry patches on my face.

This doesn’t happen every time, but I don’t think I will be using this product anymore because of the way it makes my skin feel.

Overall, I am glad that I bought it as I now know it is not suitable for my skin type. Nonetheless there are great reviews of people loving this product so for the price I would recommend to give it a shot, as it might just work for you.

The Ordinary 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Moroccan Argan Oil (4/5)

I’ve been applying the Cold-Pressed Moroccan Argan Oil during my night time routine and use it when jade rolling.

I have to admit it does have a distinct smell that is hard to overcome however, it has been making my skin feel so smooth and bright.

I'm excited to continue using it during my night skincare routine.

Again, this product is super affordable. I would without a doubt recommend this product. You can also use it for your hair however, I haven't yet tried it - keep you posted when I do!

The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG (4/5)

As mentioned in our Instagram post, this product has been helping me with me under eye puffiness. I’ve been using it in my morning routine for a couple of days now and I have to admit that I do see a slight difference. I also love that it smells like caffeine – a plus for me!

Stay tuned for more blog posts coming your way :)

Let us know in the comment below if you have any questions or comments about the products above, we'd love to hear from you.

Until next time,

Melina
